Parrot wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of premium old stock parrot wing jasper, from Mexico. This material is exceptionally well silicated; so much so, that there are translucent areas within the stone. It features a mottled pattern of vivid turquoise blues and greens, with dabs of dark reddish brown. The coloration is actually much nicer and more electric than the photos depict. I really enjoy cabbing this material for use in my own jewelry; it's striking, and unlike some other parrot wing jasper I've had, this took a brilliant polish very easily. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm and a sleek designer 'flame' shape, polished both front and back.
