Rhodochrosite cab suite ~
Offered here is a very special, well matched three piece suite of rhodochrosite cabochons, from Catamarca, Argentina. Not easy to come by like it once was, last I heard, the price of rough from this classic location is strictly controlled by the Argentinian goverment. These extraordinary stones feature attractively vibrant rose-pink coloration with an ornate, lacy banded pattern. This grand old stock is highly translucent, as illustrated by the backlit photo, and I can see no pits or other flaws on any of the stones. Beautiful crystalline gems ready to do their part in your next masterpiece! The larger teardrop has a rounded dome of 6mm, while the smaller pair are 5mm in thickness. Each of the three stones have a teardrop shape and an excellent polish both front and back.
