K2 blue jasper cab suite ~
Offered here is a suite of three matching cabochons cut from K2 blue jasper, from Pakistan. This rather exotic new gem material is so named because it was mined at the base of the highest peak in that part of the country, K2, second in height only to Mt. Everest. These examples have an attractive showing of rich royal blue spots that contrast beautifully against a white granitic background. If you like featuring the truly unusual in your creations, you're going to love these stones! The large stone has an elegant drop shape and a high rounded dome of 6mm, while the pair are 4mm in thickness. Each stone has a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
