Piranha agate cab ~
Offered here is a striking cabochon of piranha agate, which hails from the Brazilian state of Parana. Gorgeous contrasting coloration in this cab, very reminiscent of condor agate. This example is a striking blend of attractive hues which include wide bands of brilliant carnelian orange, and smoky purplish-blue edged with black, as well as a row of several little islands running roughly down the center. Those little odd-shaped dashes are actually black-centered tubes seen on end. This fabulous stone has a pleasing designer shape, a well rounded dome of 5+mm, and a super slick glassy polish both front and back.
