Malachite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of malachite, from Zaire. It features the classic beauty of gracefully swirling bands in rich shades of light and dark green, with emphasis on the lighter shades I most favor for my own jewelry creations. I've seen and cabbed countless fancier stones, but the deceptively simple pattern in this example is sure to look magnificent in even the plainest of settings, no doubt! The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a curvy designer teardrop shape, polished to a glossy brilliance both front and back. Well under a buck a carat!
