Linda Marie plume agate cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Linda Marie plume agate, from Oregon, near the Idaho border. This example has some truly unique coloration and figure, with long spire-like plumes in shades of green, peach and white. The wild plumage stands out in sharp contrast against a background of rich root beer brown. If you look closely, you'll see that some of the plumes seem to be composed of tiny frothy bubbles, or tubes cut in cross-section. I particularly like the shadowed effect many of the plumes have, giving them an added dimension that's most attractive. The stone has a rounded dome of 5mm, and a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape that's polished front and back.
