Woodward Ranch plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a large, deluxe collector's cabochon of Woodward Ranch plume agate, from Texas. This distinctive old stock material is a longtime favorite that's found in nodules called biscuits, and it has been long prized for its wonderfully colorful figure. This example has blood red flowery plumettes, along with contrasting crystalline white to gray resembling crushed ice, complete with sparkles. The backside of this gemmy stone is every bit as captivating, so an open-backed setting would be desireable. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and a graceful designer 'teardrop' shape that's polished both front and back.
