Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is large, deluxe cabochon of ocean jasper, from Madagascar. This unique cab has a decidedly festive, upbeat quality to it, entertaining the eye with an impressive array of extra fancy bullseyes of various sizes and colors. A close look reveals that the largest orbs are ringed with tiny pseudomorphs of green crystals, making them look like little cogwheels or flowers. And they contrast beautifully against a background of coral, pink and white, with subtle fortifications. The backside is splendid too, so an open-backed setting would be just the ticket. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a sweet designer 'flame' shape that's polished both front and back.
