Cubuk needle agate cab ~
Offered here is an impressive cabochon of Cubuk needle agate, a relatively recent addition to the lapidary world, which hails from Turkey. This example boasts a fascinating pattern of tubes, in white, that resemble cut straws, contrasting nicely against a translucent background the color of root beer, with subtle greenish undertones. Through the middle of the stone, there's a patch of white with ghostly fortifications, with another tiny bullseye tube. The cab has a low but nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a sweet designer 'flame' shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
