Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of ocean jasper, which hails from Madagascar. Sadly, it's all dug out now. This example has a background of avocado and dark forest green, overlaid with pastel pink and gold fortifications, and an assortment of bullseyes and eyes. By my lights, this type of ocean jasper seems to have a rather exotic flavor, and this one certainly has its share of contrast and character. The stone has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, a crisp designer shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
