Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of Montana agate, cut from an old stock nodule found along the Yellowstone River. This classic beauty has an attractive scattering of inky black dendrites in various shapes and sizes, including some fancy little flowers, and several rows that appear to be roughly aligned in bands, floating within the stone. The background agate is translucent, nearly water clear, with an appealing (almost) opalescent blue quality to it. The cab has a low but nicely rounded dome, a crisp designer 'spearhead' shape, and a brilliantly glassy 'wet ice' polish both front and back.
