Teepee Canyon agate cab ~
Offered here is a fabulous collector's cabochon of Teepee Canyon Agate, wrested from the hard rock near Custer, South Dakota. This example features wildly intricate salmon-orange fortifications against a background of soft coral-pink. There are several neat little bullseyes too, afloat in crystal-lined pools contained within the bands, and some tiny terminated crystals. In certain lighting, the sparkling vugs appear to have a pale lavender tint. Beautifully unique! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a plump designer 'teardrop' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
