Offered here is a splendid cabochon of African pietersite. This example features golden yellow chatoyance in a silky, swirling, almost brecciated pattern that dances with light. Pearly accents of midnight blue and reddish orange add even more color to the appealing palette of this stone; please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to see the fine details. It has a gracefully curved designer teardrop shape, a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back. And considering how the cost of fine pietersite has sky-rocketed in recent years, my per carat price for a stone of this size and quality is a steal!
