Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of unique ocean jasper, from the shores of Madagascar. This stone features plenty of intricate figure, including a variety of bullseyes, orbs, and dots, and even some fortification banding. Among its unusual, contrasting colors are several rings of teal blue and pink shades, against a background of olive greens. It was cut from one small chunk of rough that I've had stashed for many years, and I've never seen another piece of o.j. quite like it. The cab has a low rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a graceful teardrop shape, polished both front and back.
