Inferno agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of inferno agate, interesting Mexican material offered by the miner at the Tucson shows a couple years back. I'm told this material comes from the Laguna agate claims, and am amazed by the many beautiful variations of its patterns. This example has pink fortifications edged with a ribbon of palest pink lace separating it from crimson mosses at one side. Butterscotch at the large end. It's gorgeous stuff; sure wish I had a lot more. Please note, this stone has a few typical dark lines, which are naturally healed fractures. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a versatile shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
Size:51x19mm
