Royal imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of imperial jasper, from Mexico. This cab was cut from spiderwebbed material, part of an old stash of porcelain jasper I've been hoarding. It has a pattern of streamers in light and dark shades of minty greens. There is a subtle secondary pattern in the background as well, which has an attractive pinkish blush. These colors seem extra appealing to me this spring, since everything has turned so beautifully green outdoors. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a bold designer 'spearhead' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
