Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, and it is a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. The cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with red and crimson agate, framed with brick red webbing. Many show interesting fortification bands, like tiny translucent agate nodules or thundereggs. I do need to mention a small natural void on the backside, along with a shiny fleck of metal, perhaps pyrite. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'shield' shape, brightly polished both front and back.
