Butterfly wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a big, bold cabochon of butterfly wing jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper is a much sought after classic, though it's actually a rhyolite. This cab is an outstanding example of grand old material, chock full of colorfully varied figure, including blue, yellow, magenta, pink and a patch of dark red. Any odd lines are either totally and naturally healed or simply part of the pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this beauty; it definitely won't disappoint! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
