Bumble bee jasper cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon of bumblebee stone, from Indonesia, where it is collected near the steaming fumaroles of Mount Papandayan. This example has brilliant yellow-orange bands along with jet black bands, which adds an appealing contrast. There are also some interesting tube figures too. The stone is surprisingly translucent, as illustrated by the backlit photo. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'diamond' shape, and a slick glossy polish both front and back.
