Agua Nueva agate cab ~
Offered here is a busy little cabochon of Agua Neuva agate, from Mexico. I often find that like this material even more than its long prized and famous cousin, Laguna agate, found nearby. This example features delightfully colored lavender agate and a crystalline quartz blend, showing bullseyes, tubes and fortification banding. At center is a sparkly drusy pocket, adding character. The entire stone is nicely translucent, as illustrated by the backlit photo. Simply GORGEOUS! The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a sweet designer drop shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
