Royal Sahara jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Royal Sahara jasper, from the North African Sahara desert. This porcelain material is amazing, reminiscent of Deschutes or Biggs jaspers. This example has rich, earthy shades of ochre, tan, cream and reddish brown, as well as jet black dendrites. The pattern is rather scenic, when viewed with a bit of imagination. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, and a designer 'diamond' shape that's polished both front and back to a brilliant mirror shine.
