Royal imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This is the coveted 'ojitos' variety (ojitos means little eyes in Spanish), one of my longtime favorites in the family of porcelain jaspers. The colors are shades of mauve, tinged pink, with nuances of orange shades as well. The rather simple orb pattern shows as concentric rings, a lot like radiating ripples on a pond. The stone has a high rounded dome of 4.5mm, a designer teardrop shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
