Turquoise cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of turquoise from China, cut from hand selected rough we purchased at last year's Tucson shows. The stone has wonderfully appealing turquoise blue-green hues with nicely contrasting black and gold spiderwebbing. It reminds me a lot of the old Royston turquoise, the stuff I chose back in the '70s for my own jewelry. This material has been stabilized by a hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, so it will wear wonderfully, without darkening or dimming over the years. The cab has a generously high and well rounded dome of 7.5mm, and a plump designer 'flame' shape, with a smooth glossy polish both front and back.
