Moroccan agate cab ~
Offered here is a yummy cabochon of Moroccan agate, showing outstanding golden yellow plumes. The plumes are interspersed with bright blood red patches that really help show them off. Some areas of the stone are nicely translucent, revealing the tops of other plumes billowing up from the depths beneath the surface. I particularly like the strong banding with milk-white scallops. There's quite a lot going on in this dramatic stone, and it ought to look grand in even the simplest of settings. It has a rounded dome of 5mm, and a curvy designer 'flame' shape, polished both front and back.
