Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millenia, the cells in this fossil bone have been replaced with bright reddish-orange agate, and many are fortified like tiny agate thundereggs, having a speck of yellow or gray at their centers. Check out the enlarged photos to see the fascinating details. The black cell walls form a sponge-like lattice, forever frozen in time. It's an amazing example of collectibly gemmy dinosaur bone! The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 8mm, a bold designer 'spear' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
