Offered here is a cabochon of opalized Deschutes jasper, from Oregon. A treasured favorite, this classic old material was dug out long ago, and is quite collectible. This example features rich earth tones including coffee brown, tan and cream, with a scattering of jet black dendrites. These contrasting shades look magnificent in a setting of silver, though this jasper is certainly worthy of gold; the choice is yours! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a curvy designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
