Larimar cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of larimar, a rare blue variety of gem pectolite from the only known source in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. I should've gotten a LOT more rough when I had the chance, because the price has certainly climbed steadily through the years. This example has delicious sky blue coloration, extra gemmy, with some darker and more saturated spots, and a several nice patches of chatoyance here and there. This stone has a generously high rounded dome of 8mm, a versatile teardrop shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
