K2 blue jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from the much sought after K2 blue jasper, from Pakistan. This rather exotic new gem material is so named because it was mined at the base of the highest peak in that part of the country, K2, which is second in height only to Mt. Everest. This example features azurite blue spots that contrast beautifully against an off-white granitic background. If you like featuring the truly unusual in your creations, you're going to love this stone! It has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
