Botswana agate cab ~
Offered here is a super dramatic cabochon of Botswana agate, from Africa. A long time favorite, this classic agate is renowned for its amazing figure, and this one nicely demonstrates why. It has a big bold pattern of contrasting bands, some of which have a resemblance to woodgrain. The dark root beer brown area of the stone is wonderfully translucent, and shows some ghostly banding toward the pointed end. It's a keeper, for sure, one that will certainly 'speak' well in your jewelry creations. It has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefully curved designer drop shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
