Tigeriron cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Australian tigeriron. The tigereye in this striking stone has outstanding golden chatoyance mottled with jet black patches, alternating with ribbony bands of dark silvery metallic hematite. In hand, the hematite gleams beautifully, framing the gold tigereye windows. There's also some jasper in tan shades adding to the palette. This material is exceptionally well silicated, making it a joy to work with. The stone has a crisp designer rectangle shape, and a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, polished both front and back.
