Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top quality Montana agate, old stock from the banks of the Yellowstone River. This pattern is refered to by some as 'mosquito' agate, for the super-concentrated swarm of inky black dendrites it contains. The stone has a very translucent background which shows them all off nicely, adding an attractive bluish hue to the dendrites within the depths of the stone. This beauty will be absolutely thrilling in either a silver or gold setting, or whatever else you might dream up! It has a a nicely rounded dome, a long designer 'spear' shape, and a fabulously glassy polish both front and back.
