Butterfly wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of old stock butterfly wing jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper is a much sought after classic, and not easy to come by these days. Roughly half the cab is mostly pink, with pastel patches of green, and yellow, shot through with magenta webbing. The other more greenish half has a busy, festive pattern dotted with blue confetti and streaks of rusty orange. The two areas are bisected by rivulets of snow white common opal, which also frames a pool of translucent smoky gray. Any odd lines are either totally and naturally healed or simply part of the pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this beauty; it definitely won't disappoint! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, a versatile shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
