Marra Mamba tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of rare Marra Mamba tigereye, from Australia. This covetted material is quite chatoyant, with a bright rolling flash you just can't miss, even in these flat digital photos. The colors are blue and golden yellow, which blend into a more greenish shade. The metallic patch and bands going across the stone are actually quite shiny to the eye, though the camera records them as being dark. The jasper that's present is also rather colorful, including areas that are orange, olive green, blood red, and dark midnight blue. It's an awesome example anyone would be proud to own. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 4mm, a designer teardrop shape, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back. My per carat price is a steal of a deal!
