Noreena jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of noreena jasper, a relative newcomer from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The color and figure reminds me of mungina stone, which is rather soft, but this well silicated noreena jasper is quite a bit harder, with an even wilder pattern. The deep reddish orange frames 'windows' of mauve, and it's highlighted with flaming strokes of yellow. I think it'll be attractive in even the simplest of settings. Give it a try! This cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a designer shape that is well polished both front and back.
