Chopstick agate cab ~
Offered here is an unusual cabochon of chopstick agate, from China's Gobi desert. This fascinating example of lattice agate is much more colorful than most of those I've seen. It is loaded with green and yellowish stick figures crisscrossing, creating a quilted pattern that reminds me of hoarfrost. Many areas in between are translucent, adding an intriguing dimension of depth. I think this ought to make excellent jewelry, and hope you'll be encouraged to find out. The stone has a high rounded dome of 8mm, a designer 'shield' shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
