Crayola jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of crayola jasper, from Nevada. The material was aptly named because it really does have the appearance of a box of melted crayons. This example features an interesting abstract pattern in both pastels and richly colorful shades; almost a rainbow's worth! I do need to mention the presence of a few pinpoint pits at the large end, though they probably won't be visible once the stone is set. The cab has a well rounded dome of 7mm, a designer 'spear' shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
