Offered here is a large cabochon of Biggs jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic material has become quite collectibly rare and spendy these days. This oddly scenic example has ribbons of rich chocolaty browns against creamy tans, with a neat scattering of jet black dendrites. And it shows more than a hint of the much sought after blue/lavender undertones. It has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a long designer teardrop shape, and it has a slick glassy polish both front and back.
