Covellite cab ~
Offered here is large cabochon of covellite, a rare heavyweight metallic ore of copper from the Leonard mine near Butte, Montana. This super reflective stone, cut by my son Christo, features deep, rich cobalt blue coloration, with a few scattered flecks of shiny metallic pyrite for extra added character. It ought to make some exotic item of jewelry, or a treasured favorite in your collection of rarities. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, and despite a scattering of typical natural voids, it took a great gleaming polish both front and back.
