Rhodochrosite cab ~
Offered here is an awesome collector's cabochon of rhodochrosite, from Argentina, with PLUMES! At one side, there are wavy bands of glowing hot pink shades. And the other side has honey-colored gel (calcite), very gemmy & translucent, which contains bunches of beautifully ornate plumes and fortification banding. Separating the two zones is a scalloped band of cream, with small bud-like orbs. Believe me when I say this one is truly a KEEPER! This stone has a versatile designer teardrop shape, with a well rounded dome of 7.5mm. Polished to a lustrous brilliance both front and back. A few miniscule voids in the cream strip is all that keeps it from total perfection.
