Flame agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of choice flame agate, from Mexico. This is the grand old stock material, none too easy to come by in this calibre. It features an almost striped pattern of flame-like plumes in a very appropriate shades of brilliant reds. Along one edge is a row of lightest lavender-pink from which the flames seem to emanate, and a couple tiny drusy pockets. Gorgeous! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a bold designer 'spearhead' shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
