Dryhead agate ~
Offered here is a cabochon of collectible Dryhead agate, from Montana. This vibrant full-patterned example has wildly intricate fortifications in classic shades of orange, yellow, cream and coral-red, and a thin greenish band in the mix, too. That contrasts strongly against a chocolate-brown background, which is the actual host rock matrix. At the stone's core is a velvety coral center, containing a darker red orb. It's quite striking, easily worthy of setting in gold, and the more you look, the more there is to see! The cab has a low rounded dome, and a designer teardrop shape, beautifully polished both front and back.
