Larimar cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of larimar, a rare blue variety of gem pectolite from the only known source in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. I wish I had purchased a LOT more rough when I had the chance, because the price has certainly climbed steadily over the years. This example has delicious sky blue coloration, extra gemmy, with some darker saturated spots in a desireable effervescent pattern, including a bit of silky chatoyance. This stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a versatile rectangular shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
