Parrot wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of old stock parrot wing jasper, from Mexico. This delightful jasperized chrysocolla is becoming very difficult to find, unlike the more common copper complexes so often substituted for it and erroneously dubbed 'parrot wing'. It features a mottled pattern of mostly blues to blue greens, with accents of deep red to reddish brown. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a long designer 'flame' shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
