Morrisonite cab ~
Offered here is a fabulous cabochon of premium morrisonite jasper, from the old Morrison Ranch digs in Oregon. This RARE material is the most sought after member of the porcelain jasper family, often called the king of jaspers. This stone is an interesting example with an abstract pattern in golden orange and lovely shades of blue. I particularly like the contrast between the deep midnight blue and the gold. The cab has a low rounded dome of 4.5mm, a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape, and a brilliant glassy polish both front and back.
