Yellow feather jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of the new yellow feather jasper, from Utah. This example if just about bursting with dendrites in pinkish mauve and black, against a background of pastel yellow. Some of the black and brown lines within the stone are edged in a more brilliant shade of yellow, adding a certain visual interest. Terry Maple was kind enough to send a sample for me to try, and I was surprised to find that it took a most excellent polish. Hope you like it as much as I do. This stone has a nicely rounded dome of 4.5mm, and a plump 'flame' shape that's polished both front and back.
