Charoite cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of charoite, the nicest I've had in a long time. This rare purple gem material is found only at a single source, along the Charo River, located in a very remote area of East Central Siberia. This cab features a delightful crushed velvet sort of pattern with excellent pearly chatoyance throughout. There is also a splash of black aegirine-augite, and a hint of prismatic yellow-orange tinaksite, rare minerals in their own right. This example is backed with an extra thin layer of black jade for added strength. The stone has a well rounded dome of nearly 6.5mm, a versatile designer shape, and a super glossy polish both front and back. You will LOVE this one!!
