Offered here is a cabochon of Deschutes jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, classic old material like this has become quite collectible and covetted worldwide. This fine example features a wild contrasting pattern in rich earthy tones of peachy tans and reddish browns, along with blue gray accents. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 4+mm, a graceful designer teardrop shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
