Butterfly wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a large deluxe cabochon of butterfly wing jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper (actually a rhyolite) is a much sought after classic, and a favorite in my studio. This wild example was cut from grand old material, and features a crazy patchwork of patterns. It is extra colorful too, with shades of blue, orange, magenta, pink, green, gold and yellow. Pools of smoky and blue agate add depth. Any odd lines are either totally and naturally healed or simply part of the pattern, so this beauty is ready to take part in your next masterpiece. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully curved teardrop shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
