Amethyst sage agate cab ~
Offered here is a gemmy cabochon of amethyst sage agate, from Nevada. This appealing example has lovely translucent purple agate, edged with frames of lavender and white. I like the meandering black lines in this one, and even though there are only a few small spidery dendrites, I think it'll make a very special piece of jewelry. The stone has a low rounded dome of 5mm, and despite a couple teensy surface pits, it has an excellent polish both front and back.
