Moss opalite cab suite ~
Offered here is a matching trio of cabochons of moss opalite, from Australia, also known as dendritic opalite. My son Chris did a fine job on these. This unusual form of opal is typically mustard yellow, but these three examples have pastel yellow and rich caramel coloration along with some black spidery dendrites. Maybe it's butterscotch. The large cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6.5mm, while the smaller pair are 6mm in thickness. Each has a great glassy polish both front and back.
